This Acceptable Use Policy is part of the Terms of Service of DotPlus Technologies Private Limited ("Daakiaa"). It applies to every account, mailbox and user. Breaking it leads to suspension and may lead to legal action, as explained in section 5 of the Terms.
Spam and bulk email: never allowed
- Sending unsolicited commercial or bulk email to people who have not clearly agreed to receive it from you.
- Using purchased, rented, scraped, harvested or shared email lists, or addresses guessed by "dictionary" methods.
- Bulk marketing or newsletters without a working unsubscribe link and your real contact details.
- Cold outreach at a volume or in a way that causes complaints or blocklisting.
- Getting around sending limits: splitting mail across mailboxes or accounts, rotating domains, or similar tricks.
- Advertising through spam sent from elsewhere that points to an address, domain or website hosted on Daakiaa.
Fraud, phishing and malware
- Phishing, or any attempt to obtain passwords, OTPs, banking or card details, Aadhaar or other identity data by deception.
- Impersonating any person, company, bank or government body, or faking or hiding the sender of a message (spoofing).
- Scams of any kind, including fake jobs, lotteries, investment or cryptocurrency schemes, and fake invoices.
- Sending viruses, ransomware, spyware or other harmful files or links. Programs and scripts (such as .exe, .bat, .js) cannot be sent through Daakiaa.
Unlawful and harmful content
- Anything that is illegal in India, or that the IT Rules, 2021 list as prohibited, including child sexual abuse material, content that threatens the unity, integrity, defence or security of India, and content that promotes terrorism or violence.
- Harassment, threats, defamation, hate speech, or obscene or sexually explicit material.
- Material that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, or that breaks anyone's privacy.
The service itself
- Testing, scanning or attacking the security of Daakiaa or any other system, or trying to get into accounts, data or systems that are not yours.
- Running open relays or proxies, or sending mail for domains you do not own or manage.
- Overloading the Service, or using it in a way that harms its reputation, its IP addresses or other customers.
- Reselling the Service without a partner agreement with us.
- Giving false information or documents during signup or verification.
What we do
We may investigate any suspected breach, and suspend accounts while we do. We keep sign-in, sending and security logs for at least 180 days, and we cooperate with law enforcement agencies and CERT-In. If your mailbox is used for spam because its password was stolen, tell us at once; we will help you secure it, but sending already made still counts against the account.
Received spam or phishing from a Daakiaa address? Write to abuse@daakiaa.com and include the full message with its headers ("Show original" in most mail apps).
