Yes. Daakiaa for Education is free for recognised institutions, keeps data in an Indian data centre, verifies your institution with its affiliation certificate (usually within 1 working day) and is supported by a team in India. Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals is also free for qualifying institutions and has more pooled storage and an office suite (documents and spreadsheets), which Daakiaa does not have yet.
Your affiliation or recognition certificate: for example CBSE, ICSE or State board affiliation, UGC, AICTE or university affiliation, or government recognition. You upload it after signing up, and we verify it, usually within 1 working day.
As many as you need. Every Education plan has unlimited accounts for teachers, students and staff. They share the institution's storage; each mailbox starts at 1 GB, and the admin can make it smaller or larger.
Your admin decides. Students can mail anyone, or only people inside the school, so they can talk to teachers and classmates but not to strangers.
Yes. Accounts use your institution's own domain, like teacher@yourschool.edu.in. During setup we show the DNS records to add and check them for you.
The admin sees how much each mailbox uses and can set smaller mailbox sizes, down to 100 MB, or move up to Education Standard (500 GB) or Education Plus (1 TB) at any time. Mail and settings stay as they are.
