Is Daakiaa business email really free?
Yes. The Free plan costs ₹0 forever: up to 3 mailboxes on your own domain, 2 GB each, with webmail, phone and Outlook access, passkeys, 2-step sign-in and spam protection. No credit card is needed.
What is the catch?
There is no hidden charge. Free mailboxes are smaller (2 GB each) and limited to 3 per company; larger mailboxes, more users and features like large-file links and split delivery are on paid plans from ₹${STARTER_FROM} per person per month. Every account is verified first, which keeps spammers out and protects the reputation of everyone's mail.
Why do I need to verify my account?
Free email attracts spammers, and spam from one account can hurt delivery for everyone. So every new account is checked once: Aadhaar for individuals, and for businesses and organisations the GST certificate or any government registration document (schools, trusts and societies without GST are welcome).
Can I use Outlook or my phone's mail app with the free plan?
Yes. Unlike many free plans, Daakiaa Free includes IMAP and SMTP, so Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird and the Gmail app all work. There is also a fast webmail for the browser.
Do I need my own domain?
Yes. Business email uses your own domain, like you@yourcompany.com. If you have one, Daakiaa shows the DNS records to add, and for popular DNS providers it can add them for you automatically.
Is Google Workspace or Zoho Mail free?
Google Workspace has no free plan, only a 14-day trial. Zoho Mail has a free plan for up to 5 users with 5 GB each, used through the web and Zoho's app. Daakiaa Free has 3 mailboxes with 2 GB each and works with every mail app over IMAP and SMTP. Plans change, so check each provider's current page.
What happens when I need more than 3 mailboxes?
Choose a paid plan any time in Admin, Billing: from ₹129 per person per month, with 30 GB to 200 GB each. All your mail and settings stay as they are.
